Lucy Takehara is a Geological Engineer who graduated from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP). She holds a Master’s degree in Geochemistry, a PhD in Geometallurgy, and completed postdoctoral research in Isotope Geology and Mineralogical Characterization Techniques.

She has been a geoscience researcher at the Geological Survey of Brazil (SGB) since 2010 and has coordinated the Rare Earth Elements Project since 2011.
