André holds a degree in Mining Engineering, a master's degree in Mineral Engineering, and a doctorate in Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Ouro Preto. He completed postdoctoral studies at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the Technical University of Clausthal, Germany. He is a specialist in Artificial Intelligence from IFG and a CNPq PQ-C researcher. He is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the Federal University of Catalão (UFCAT). He is the coordinator of the Mineral Processing Research Center (CPMin).
